I'm building a playlist as I write. I wish I had tracked everything I've listened to, but here's what I've got so far. What do you recommend I include?

Check out Evanescence. Amy Lee offers powerful vocals and the band specializes in haunted rock melodies like Bring Me To Life, My Immortal and Sweet Sacrifice. The videos on You Tube are a treat.

I find some of the more evocative new age/instrumentalish bands from Europe are a good one.

Narsilion, Mirabilis, Irfan, Stellamara, Hekate, Gae Bolg.
