Is anyone interested in a lunch write in? I know most people have day jobs, but my job is mostly afternoons and evenings and on the off chance that other people are interested I thought I'd volunteer to host something during the day.
Wednesdays are the most consistently free days for me, so I was thinking something like 11-2 or 12-2 at Panera (In Glen Ellyn or Wheaton) or some place similar. I could potentially do Mondays or Fridays instead (or as well).
My schedule changes every week, but I'd be interested if I'm available that day/time.
One thing about Panera is that some locations set a limit to how long patrons can sit there during busy lunch rushes. At least that's been my experience. Some also disable wifi during that time, although that might actually be a good thing.
I wouldtotallybe in for a lunch write-in on a Monday, Wednesday, or Friday. Lunch meansnotrush hour, and therefore potentially worth it for me to make the drive.
I was thinking about this as well, but my ability to commit is a little sketchy right now so I haven'tdone anything about organizing, so thanks for starting this thread.Wednesdays and/or Fridays are my most likely free times at lunch.
Please don't plan anything for Friday,November 14th, though. That's the 'all-day' write in at the Naperville Municipal Center, and it's fine to just come over lunchtime. (It's 9-9.)

Sweet. Lets Say Wednesdays from 11:30-2. I'll check with the Glen Ellyn and Wheaton Paneras about wi-fi during lunch. Some locations do limit how long you can use wi-fi to like half an hour, but I'm not sure if these do. Blackberry Market in downtown Glen Ellyn has wifi as well, no idea if there's a time cap on them.http://blackberry.is
Tom & Edie's in Naperville also has wifi, made-to-order 'burgers' (can get chicken or edamame), and Hagen-Dazsmilk shakes. They're on Naper blvdnearOgden. (And have a back room.)
I think I may end up having Tuesdays off in the future (thanks to a staff shortage and the schedule being messed around with). If that happens, I'll probably be at either Peet's Coffee in downtown Downer's Grove in the afternoon or at Corner House in downtown Lombard. I'll probably end up posting a "join me!" on the forums whenever I'm there. :)

Just another possibility.

I like Corner House in Lombard. Good place. I usually work on Tuesdays, but I'll show up if I'm free.
