We have a jabber chatroom where people can meet-up online. During the offseason we meet once a week for an hour (currently Mondays, 8 pm CDT); during NaNo, there are usually people there every day and night. There's even Write or Die, our chatbot who can time word wars (type: word_war help to see the commands).

Just a reminder that we have a scheduled meeting tonight 8 pm. These are very informal chats that can cover:

• different writing topics where people share questions and advice
• writing exercises
• social chit chat
• word wars (mostly in November) - these are timed writing sprints where people try to add to their novels as much as they can within a given time limit (e.g., 13 or 17 minutes)
