Anyone in the Wheaton area should definitely check out the Glen Ellyn Caribou write-ins (thislocation is better suited to group than the one in downtown Wheaton). I can't check exactly where they are right now due to work filters, but I believe the events are already listed up on the regional calendar.
I'm very close to Wheaton, and I'd be happy to come out to the Wheaton Bou on my days off if you can't get out to the Glen Ellyn Bou on Sunday nights. :) It stinks for those of us over here that so many of the write-ins are in Naperville. (Which is exactly why I started the Glen Ellyn write-ins.)

I'm in the area. Right on the border of Carol Stream and Wheaton, actually.
How do you go about planning write ins anyway? It seems like most in the area are at either libraries or coffee shops. There arecountless Caribous and Starbucks in the greater Wheaton/Carol Stream area. La Spiaza is also an independent coffeehouse alternative, for those not so stoked on chain places. Some might be a little easier to access than the Glen Ellyn one, especially with all the traffic on 38 around 5pm.
See this thread about write-ins that point so Pomegranate's guide for hosting write-ins that has good information about planning your own. The key is to commit to a time and place, communicate about it to the region in these forums and to NaNomail one of the MLs about adding it to the regional calendar.
Any others from the town/university?

I live here most of the time, but occasionally in Warrenville.

I've never been to La Spiaza. What's it like?
Thanks,
