Last year some of us went to TEDxNaperville (this link has videos of last year's talks). I've already bought my (roughly $55) ticket for this year's TEDxNaperville event (Friday, November 8th, 1-5:30 pm).

Just wanted to see if others from our region are going/want to go. TEDxNaperville is described this way:

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At TEDxNaperville, TEDTalks and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and personal connections.

The topics covered are very diverse but invariably fascinating. Here are some of my favorite TED videos. I think many of you would enjoy Sarah Kay's performance poetry video.

More than just the talks, though, is the experience of talking and networking with others attending the event, finding areas of common passions and interests.
