While most of our events in November are focused on writing our novels, we do have one meet-up event planned where people can just chat about their novels or anything else. This originally was planned to be a dinner at Clara's (to begin a little while after the afternoon write-ins finish); however, it appears that Clara's will be closed that weekend in preparation for their move to a new location one block north.

I think we have a unanimous selection of Suparossa (Italian) at Seven Bridges. I have made a reservation for 18 people for 5:30 pm (Woodridge write-in ends at 4:30 pm; those of us cleaning up will probably leave there around 5 pm), Saturday, November 16th.

Accordingly, I've created a doodle poll for people to use to RSVP and to help select a restaurant. If you would like me to add a restaurant to this list, please let me know ASAP. I've set options for this doodle to be: Yes, Yes-if-need-be (for your second choices on restaurants), No. If you are tentative, please indicate this via a comment either in this thread or on the doodle.
There is some thought to do a quick lunch after the Carol Stream write-in in the morning for those making a whole day of it. If you have thoughts/interest in that, also reply to this thread.

Put me down as a very tentative maybe. Family is coming up to visit that day, but there's a slight chance they'll be driving back home in enough time for me to go.
