I will be there. I will bring...some kind of dessert. I have another party later that evening and I'll likely just make two batches of whatever dessert I choose and kill two birds with one stone.
I will be there. My current plan is to make fried won tons (appetizer with a hot plate), but I might make a dessert instead if I run out of time. Thanks for starting the thread, Katherine.
I should be there. Not sure for food yet, but I might actually take a stab at veggie pizza. Been meaning to give that a go for a long time now, and there's a good recipe for it in the family.
Rats. I'm scheduled to work that Saturday. Have a great time. Thanks so much to the planners and those participating. I'm grateful you keep things going. I'll join in whenever my work schedule allows. CJ
I plan to come, and drag Bart if I can talk him into it. I was thinking a spinach lasagna or some other cheesy-tomatoey baked Italian dish, like stuffed shells. If there are too many of that kind of dish, let me know and I'll bring a salad or something instead.
Silira wrote:Joe (Spellguns) and I will be there. I'll bring a fruit salad of some sort.
Great. I can't wait to see what Tim comes up with for Joe's certificate. Maybearch-nemesis of KatherineWriting. :)
(If anyone hasn't been following, he's been about 10K ahead of me for days, which I'm pretty sure has made a number of people very happy, myself not included.)

It also has jalapeno in it (but not TOO much). Brick House on Butterfield Road in Downer's Grove has them as appetizers--they're great AND sound easy to make!

I won't be able to make it unfortunately. I have to work. Next year I'll have to remember to take some time off from work becauseI haven't been able to make a single write in.
I'll definitely come, but I have somethinguntil about 1:30, then it'll take me about 10 minutes or so to get to the municipal center. I can make a desert and maybe bring some plastic cutlery, if need be.
So sorry, but I'm going to have to show up late. I forgot about another commitment that will mean I'm unlikely to arrive before about 1 p.m. So I'll probably bring something of the dessert variety--fruit or cookies or something.
I'll be there. Looks like you need forks, knives and spoons. I accept the challenge. This wasn't my best Nanowrimo year. I admit it.I did not get to 50K. But it was not my worst, either. Congratulations to everyone that made their goal!

If they aren't needed, Tim and I just take the extras home and use them at next year's Kick-off party. We do the same thing with plates, and napkins. It ensures we have plenty of the basic supplies for each event without having to buy them ourselves each year. :)

I'll be there with brie and crackers.
I should be there. Not sure for food yet, but I might actually take a stab at veggie pizza. Been meaning to give that a go for a long time now, and there's a good recipe for it in the family.
I'll be there along with my brother (eganworks) and my parents. Not sure what I'll be bringing, though.
I will be there. I will bring a mixed green and kale salad with cranberries, sliced tomatoes, and some type of cheese(feta or bleu) in it.

I will come. I will bring something amazing. Any suggestions/requests for amazingness?
I have really fond memories of the little chocolate chess pieces... but everything you make is amazing. :-)
I will absolutely be there, but I'm afraid food is failing me lately. I can bring plates. :)
I plan to be there, but I have no idea what I will bring. I'll think about it and get back to you.
I will be there, and like so many others, I have no idea yet what I'll bring. I'll update when I've figured it out.
I will try to be there. I really enjoyed last years and if I do make it this year - I'll bring cookies or cupcakes/something sweet to eat.

Frances
Please add Cass to the RSVP list, too! :)
We will be bringing deviled eggs (with a kick! and bacon!). :D
Deviled eggs with bacon sounds like the most amazing food invention since macaroni and cheese pizza.
...speaking of which, if we need any more main dishes, I'll bring macaroni and cheese pizza (which sounds weird but tastes amazing)
Sounds pretty neat!
Okay, I'll bring raw veggies and dip!
It also has jalapeno in it (but not TOO much). Brick House on Butterfield Road in Downer's Grove has them as appetizers--they're great AND sound easy to make!
Macaroni and cheese pizza is pretty amazing. :D
I'm also going to bring this chocolate.. cake... roll... thing. I'm not exactly what it is. My mother gave it to me.
And possibly something in a crock pot since it looks like we might need more of that.
I won't be able to make it unfortunately. I have to work. Next year I'll have to remember to take some time off from work becauseI haven't been able to make a single write in.
Hopefully I can make the January meeting though!
- April
I will try to come. I can bring soda pop and cups, I think. I'm still a maybe, though.
I'll definitely come, but I have somethinguntil about 1:30, then it'll take me about 10 minutes or so to get to the municipal center. I can make a desert and maybe bring some plastic cutlery, if need be.
I'm coming, too. I'll probably bring some sort of bread or muffin.
I'm in! I can bring a bag of tortilla chips and some store-bought-yet-it's-homemade guacamole and salsa!
Also, even though we have desserts, the more the merrier! I can bring M&M/marshmallow brownies.
I will do my best to provide chocolate creations!
I'll be there and I will bring the soda. I had a lot of fun at The kick off party and it was great meeting other writers!
I will be at the party and I can bring cups and ice and drinks. Or just cups and ice if someone is already bringing drinks.
So sorry, but I'm going to have to show up late. I forgot about another commitment that will mean I'm unlikely to arrive before about 1 p.m. So I'll probably bring something of the dessert variety--fruit or cookies or something.
I'll be there, I'll bring bottled water!
915 words away from goal. Whee!
Thanks, Daniel. How about cups, ice and bottles of water since Anastasia is bringing soda?
Thanks,
