Sorry to be so quiet on the forums this year! I'm a former Napervillian hidden away in the Great Lakes State, but my loyalty remains to my favourite people and group pounding away through November. I regret being unable to come back for the writing workshops and the kick off party, but I'm the mother of a newborn who was, on day 1 of NaNoWriMo, approximately six weeks old. The drive is a little tough. ;)
I didn't think I would have the opportunity to participate this year. I just wrote on the side and told myself that the word count wouldn't matter, I could start in February or some better time. But the old maximanyone can participate in NaNoWriMois rather true.I do get a little bit of writing time between feeding, playtime, bath time, burp time, coo at the ceiling fan time, family time, chore time, meal time, and other "time" to actually commit to some kind of dialogue and detail-work.Having a deadline worked for me!I frantically blaze away on the keyboard when I have the opportunity. I contribute my word score to overcome the Mile High City, because they're a lovely bunch I'm sure, but you deserve to win.
Best of luck and penmanship, Nanoers! I got to type "The Edn" (yes, typo purposeful - it reminds me to go back and edit) this afternoon and I think I'm going to go fall on my face when I finally tabulated the final word count.
Great to hear from you. But we need a picture of the baby! And some participation in jabber chats. The last one you were on, you said something vague about 'expecting' and Tim and I looked at each other, virtually, and said, "Did she really say that?"
