I know it's the Saturday of a holiday weekend, but would anyone want to meet up for one final write-in this year? (After the morning Sugar Grove write-in, of course)
I know we can't book any of the big rooms at the libraries this late, but I could probably get one of the study rooms where I work (Indian Prairie, in Darien). Woodridge has six small study rooms, which are available on a first-come, first-served basis (unless someone with a Woodridge card wants to reserve one for us?). I'd prefer to stay in this area, if possible, but could go a little further, if necessary.
Two other options: Jen actually mentioned that the Warrenville Library smaller room might be available on the 30th, but someone who is a Warrenville resident would need to reserve it as I believe she is not available that day.
Another possible option is the Eola Road Library. Not sure if they have a room, but they had offered earlier in the fall and you don't need to be an Aurora resident to reserve it.
I expect to still have family over on Saturday, but depending on their final travel plans, I /may/ be able to join you. Especially at Indian Prairie since it's closest to me--but don't let me influence the library choice since I'm so tentative.
Maybe what we can do is have two write ins, since Darien is far away from me, and Aurora/Warrenville are practically next door. I'd be more than willing to host the Eola one.
I went ahead and booked the room at IPPL from 1:30-3:30 before we lose our chance. Our tutors are taking a week off, so we should be able to stay later without any issue. The library is open until 5.
If you're stopping by tomorrow, let me know (any site is fine, here or otherwise) so I can get a general headcount. Feel free to show up without RSVPing though! We just have a somewhat smaller room reserved than usual.
We had a great turn-out, especially considering we had such a small room. 7 people, including myself. Everyone made good progress, especially Cassidy, who will probably write all 50,000 words today alone.
I added us to the usual word count graph on naperwrimo.org if anyone is curious.
Thanks everyone for coming out! I'm going to miss seeing everyone on a regular basis after this.
Well, we've had the Journey for awhile and added Sunday Writers this year, maybe we can set up something new that'scloser to your neck of the woods so we can keep in touch on a more regular basis. Not sure what that would be offhand, though. Personally I wouldn't mind meeting up at a library sometimes outside of Nano, and I would like to focus more seriously on editing and revising next year.
There's an Accountability Path in the works and a possible separate Editing Path, but I'm not sure where either of thosewould be just yet. And the monthly Journey meetings, of course. I'll still get to see everyone and look forward to that, it will just be less often than NaNo.

I'd say anytime in the afternoon, after about 1?
I'd go to either IPPL or Woodridge, whatever the most people are up for. And 1 or 1:30 would be great.

Warrenville and Aurora are both really far for me and I'd prefer to stay farther east/south, if I can. So far that seems possible.
IPPL is my first choice because it's closest to me and because I work there & can book ahead easily.

I've added your event to our calendar, Jez. Thanks for hosting!
Thanks, Tim!

Cass and I will both be there!
Fantastic! We're going to see you over that 50K line.
