Do you ever feel like you're lacking inspiration? Have you hit a creative slump? In our group, we do somefun exercises to get your pen/key board moving. We pick a word, image, or an object atrandom and incorporate it into a story. We set a timer for five toten minutes and let our imagination run wild!
We also choose a prompt for everyone to write on and share in the next meeting. And even If you haven't written, that's fine, your perspective is invaluable tothose who have written. We welcome all ages, sexes, and writing levels/genres.We meet every two weeks to write and share our stories.
Our next meeting is Wednesday, July 23rd, at 7 pm. We meet in the up stairs meeting roomsatthe 95th Street NapervillePublic Library. Soif you are looking for a casual way to inspire yourself to write semi-regularly, our group is for you.You can write anywhere from a paragraph to five pages.
For questions and concerns, contact TY at tygon14@gmail.com.
P.S. The prompt for the next meeting is the word excess. For example, buying a TV as big as an IMAX theatre screen that costs over a million dollars. Necessary??? Probably not.
