While we've been gifted with 21 lovely libraries willing to host us all over western Chicago, we know those times and locations don't work for everyone.
Thus, any of you are welcome to host a write-in yourself.
Past wrimo-hosted write-ins have been at bars, cafes, and restaurants. They can happen once, or occur every week. For more information about write-ins and how to host them, check out our Write-In Hosting Guide.
It would be on you to check availability with a location (reserve a table, perhaps, or make sure you're not hogging a table during busy hours), but once you have a time and location set go ahead and let me or any of the otherMLsknow. That way, we can add your write-in to the region calendar and the entire group will see it. ^_^
We've already added one, hosted by Bonnie in Aurora, to the calendar and welcome tons more!
Go ahead and use this form to share advice about write-in hosting or talk with others to see if anyone would be interested in attending at a time&place you're thinking.
So, Schaumburg. I feel pretty far away from the majority of the events but I think this is the closest region for me. So I'm here in the Naperville party :) But I am willing to figure out a write-in at either the Schaumburg Township District Library or Wally's Coffeehouse sometime in November. Most likely I'll be going to those places to write anyway. Is anyone else close to Schaumburg and interested in that? I won't try and reserve tables or rooms if there's no one else haha.
With my mom in town this week and next, I'm taking advantage of her free babysitting services SO!!!! I plan to go to to the Eola Public library this thursdaythe 9th from 2pm-6pm (since there is a crafting group meetup afterwards from 6 - 7:30)...
and then Thursay the 16th...once again from 2-6pm BUT at the west aurora public library (because..again...wolly bully knitting group...)
and I wouldn't mind adding that to the google calendar so if people want to attend, they can meet up with me...and then if people want to stay longer...sure! I will make a thread to rsvp for at least the west aurora branch...so I can reserve a study room if i need to (need to call the library and ask...their website is confusing)...maybe an rsvp for thursday, but they need 48 hours notice...
I mean, I plan to be at the libraries anyway, so why not go a bit early to write!
I'll be a story in your head. But that's OK:We're all stories, in the end.Just make it a good one, eh?

I know we have more than you in the Schaumburg area. I'm sure if you set something up, people will come.

Schaumburg is not too far away for me. I'll make a write-in up there.

Thanks for hosting, Tanya! I'll add these to the calendar.

I would love a Schaumburg write-in (I'm even further north than you!)
Please let me know when this is happening, I will be happy to join you.
