Some of you are already winning and myself and the other MLs are so proud of you. As we get closer and closer to the 30th (and we get closer and closer to defeating the NaNoWriMo Monster), we wanted to let you know that NaNo won't quite end December 1st!
That's right, we gotta celebrate everything we did!
Join us for the Thank Goodness It's Over Party on Sat, Dec 9th at 11:45 in the lunch room of the Naperville Municipal Center, 400 S. Eagle Street (one block south of Nichols Library). It's a potluck, so please RSVP with what you're planning on bringing. We also need numbers for those planning on bringing plates and silverware, so if you're bringing a guest let us know that too.
UPDATE: Please RSVP no later than end of day on Thursday if you would like to receive a customized certificate.
Not close to 50K? No worries--you don't need to have made it to 50K to celebrate what you've achieved this month.
And in addition to food, don't forget to bring your Library Crawl Cards! This is the big day, where we raffle off prizes! Turn those cards into free stuff! (and if you have potential prizes to donate, hit me up ^_~)
Folks should also bring their stuffed animal for the group photo (in optional superhero costume); and those who play instruments might consider bringing that to play when we sing our regional song.
See you then!!!!!!

cheese & crackers
desserts - usually we have too many of these
cold soft drinks in cans
cold water in small bottles
plastic forks, knifes, spoons
good sturdy full-sized paper plates
sturdy small plates (for desserts)

your library crawl cards (each card gets you a raffle ticket)
musical instrument to accompany the singing of our regional song
friends and family (but note how many/who you are bringing when you RSVP)
I will be there and bring a main course of some kind. Possibly chicken, but won't know until later. I will also let you know if I will have a guest this time.
I will be at the party and I can bring some soft drinks and ice to keep them cold and cups for those drinks. I don't think I will be bringing anyone with me but I will let people know if that changes.

I'm so sorry about this, but congrats to all of you for doing NaNoWriMo this year. I was beset with deaths in the family and other things so I couldn't get my head in the game for this year.
I'll be able to join for the party, and no plus ones. I'll bring homemade guacamole and chips. Also, I wasn't sure if I would be able to make it to this so I handed off my prize contributions to Tim at one of the write-ins--so if you could bring those along, thank you and sorry about that! Forgot to check in here! I'm 50/50 right now. Was gonna bring cookies for the squid writers, but now I might be at home waiting for the heating guy because our heat broke. Sigh.
Update: I will be late, and I may need to leave early, but I will be there. I'm aiming to be there for at least as long as the two hours I'll spend driving there and back...
