I usually don't write at home. I prefer local cafes and such. I always enjoy the company of other writers, so I'm starting this forum to let folks know when and where I'm writing and if you want to join me, great!.
I'm taking Monday's and Friday's off the entire month, so I'll typically being writing somewhere in the afternoons those days.
I took this afternoon off to celebrate the NaNo kickoff and I'm writing at the Corner House in Lombard until 5pm. Come on out.
If you are ever in Aurora...Endrio coffee is great! they offer a small menu of sandwiches, pastries, and breakfast foods/waffles...and the down stairs basement has a HUUUGE buffet type set up with their tables (all of which are unique...refurbished doors/wood planks/ect) as well as a comfy couch set up. I'm only promoting it because it's 8 minutes from home, and it looks so unique and eclectic, and they have a few HUGE tables perfect for spreading out all your note books and laptop...plus, you get a free cookie when you order a coffee! and First Fridays in aurora (which is tomorrow)...they have live music...which, i usually don't care for when i write (play lists plz)...but others might like it...
I LOOOOVE two brothers cafe as well...(mmmm pretzels)...but i enjoy endrio for the atmosphere and the large tables...and parking (a block away) has a 3hr lot...which becomes a "free hour" lot after 5...so, i usually get there at 2...then, 5pm hits and BAM. i can order another coffee and keep writing!
So, aside from the two brothers write in you are doing next week...if you are ever back in aurora...I'll totally leave the toddler with the husband.
I'll be a story in your head. But that's OK:We're all stories, in the end.Just make it a good one, eh?

Let me know! It's only a minute away from Two brothers and i find their tables much more conducive to writing because I have room to spread out with my notes. If i can find someone to shove my toddler at (or if the husband gets home early)...It would do me good to get some writing done. With out a toddler, who is one of the many interruptions when i try to write.

I mean, I'll probably do a lot of nights at the Starbucks on Ogden and York if people wanna join. See FB for updates. Lots of space, I think it closes 10pm, and the whole foods next door means lots of food you can eat. Also, parking.
I'll be writing in Wheaton tomorrow, Monday, November 5th, at theMy Half of the Skyfrom 11am to 2pm. I always enjoy company, so if you can, come out and join me. You'll be supporting a good cause.Check out the website to learn more about their mission -https://www.myhalfofthesky.org/
i swear, when my toddler grows up and is old enough to stay home by herself...or is in school all day....i'm coming to more of these! I think it would be frowned upon if i left her in her crib with a bowl of water and some snacks LOL!

Did you end up at Endiro on Friday? I'm there now, and while there aren't a lot of outlets, the Lounge downstairs is great, and if you brought a power cord, it'd be easy to make it work perfectly! (Also, coffee and food? Both amazing!)

Endiro is awesome. TheAurora Cheesesteak was fantastic, as were the honey plantain chips, which I dipped in their housemade Bukalasi Coffee BBQ Sauce.
I'm heading to Two Brothers now, if anyone else is getting there early.

Update: should read the whole thread before replying. I'm a big fan of Endiro right now! Glad you like it too! (The plantain chips were killer, man.)
AUGH! I WISH I HAD SEEN THIS 3 HOURS AGO! i could have joined you to write!
