Since this year's story is basically a sequel to a previous story, the characters, world and setting are already pretty established. The characters began talking to me a few months ago, so I think I know what the first several chapters are going to be about. Normally from there I usually let the story tell itself, but this year I actually have a vague idea about where it's all headed. Hopefully all of this preparation doesn't kill the storytelling, because in the past I have just sat down and typed.
